Our Background

Our founder, Rick Kullar, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis, followed by a Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency (CAAP) from Santa Clara University. Before establishing our firm in Northern California, he gained valuable experience working in Tax at KPMG in San Francisco, serving clients across various industries and developing a strong foundation in tax compliance and planning.

In addition to running Evergreen, he serves as a Director at a healthcare technology company and has spent his career helping organizations improve operations, solve complex business challenges, and make data-driven financial decisions.

As a small business owner, real estate investor, and mortgage professional, he understand the challenges entrepreneurs face and enjoys helping clients reduce their tax burden, build wealth, and make confident financial decisions throughout the year - not just during tax season.
